Irish Academy of Television
The Irish Academy of Television is a sister-college of the Irish Academy of Public Relations which was founded in 1992. The Academy is an independent educational foundation dedicated to the pursuit of excellence. The PR Academy specialises in communications courses, in particular public relations, event management and journalism. Academy courses are taught at schools and colleges throughout the country, and are studied by distance learning throughout the world.
The Irish Academy of Television is a new sister-college, specialising in training the media professionals of the future. Courses are taught at Dun Laoghaire College of Further Education in Dublin, using state-of-the-art equipment. The lecturers of the Academy are all highly respected practitioners in their fields who incorporate practical examples, industry anecdotes, current theory and best practice into the courses they teach.
The Academy’s Television Presenting & Media Skills course offers students an opportunity to study in a real studio environment where you will learn from TV presenters and industry experts, and graduate with a professional showreel which will highlight your TV presenting abilities.
The Academy has been providing communications education since 1992.
